Job Title: Theatre Support Worker
This role supports the theatre staff in a clean and safe environment, ensuring high quality patient care. It involves assisting during surgeries, moving instrumentation, positioning patients, and maintaining a safe and hygienic theatre environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide good quality personalised care throughout the peri-operative journey in accordance with local and national standards.
- Assist in the positioning of patients in theatre before surgery and in the recovery area, ensuring that pressure areas are protected adequately and that patient comfort is maintained.
- Handle and store patient specimens safely, complying with Trust policy.
- Assist in maintaining patient safety, conforming to health, safety and security legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Proactively engage in the Trust safety agenda.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean and productive care environment, compliant with standards for hygiene and cleanliness.
- Communicate and document information in a timely and appropriate manner.

- Flexible, enthusiastic, and motivated individuals.
- Good communication skills and ability to promote Trust Values.
- Legal right to work in the UK; role is not eligible for sponsorship.
