Lead Engineer

Salary up to £55,000. Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week. Manchester.

Key Responsibilities

• Working in a 5S environment and ensuring a tidy and clean as you go policy.
• Managing a small team of engineers.
• Scheduling work with the current engineering team and liaising with the production team to ensure all machines are well maintained and ready for production.
• Assessing the competence and future‑proofing the existing small team.
• General maintenance of machinery.
• Fault‑finding on the machinery within the factory.
• Supporting multiple product lines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment.
• Electrical / mechanical fault‑finding experience.
• Experience with PLCs.
• Experience managing a small team of engineers.
