Pupil Welfare Support Assistant

Fixed Term for one year, term time only + 5 INSET days. 27.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am to 3pm. Salary: Grade 2 (SCP 4) £25,185 per annum pro rata. Actual salary: £16,172 per annum (Pay award pending).

John Taylor Multi Academy Trust (JTMAT) believes in the power of education to improve lives – and the world. As a partner academy in JTMAT, we are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and nurturing SEND Pupil Welfare Support Assistant.

Responsibilities

  • Champion children’s needs and support them as part of a team to ensure children are safe, cared for, and their intimate needs met.
  • Identify opportunities for children with complex needs and help shape care plans with parents, carers, school staff and the SENDCo.
  • Work alongside the SENDCo to implement and monitor individuals’ personal targets and contribute towards EHCP and APDR reviews.
