Lanark Close Short Breaks Service provides support for adults living in the Borough of Stockton‑On‑Tees with an identified Learning Disability.
About the role
In your role as Shift Lead, you will ensure the well‑being of the people who access the service, including delivering direct care where appropriate, and enabling people to become as independent as possible during their short break at Lanark Close.
The role involves leadership and planning of the shift, allocating duties to support workers, safe administration of medication, and ensuring each person receives an individualised service within a safe and stimulating environment.
This is a part‑time role of 35 hours per week, working 105 hours over a three‑week rota. The salary ranges from £27,943 to £29,345.
Qualifications
- Relevant Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent
- Experience of working directly with adults who have a learning disability
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Empathy and a passion to support others
- Enhanced DBS clearance
