Job Summary
Axcis Education is currently hiring a Nursery Support Worker to work in a school nursery in the heart of Hereford. The role starts in September 2026, Monday to Friday 8:30‑3:30pm, with opportunities for part‑time or job share.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children in the first years of their school life, including those with special educational needs, personal care needs or language delays.
- Assist with learning through play and support the teacher during classroom work.
Qualifications
- Experience in an early years setting preferred.
- Relevant experience in the care sector, babysitting, or other work with children is also acceptable.
Benefits
- Starting pay of £14.25 per hour. Salary will be dependent on skills and experience.
- This is a temporary position, unless otherwise stated.
Compliance & Safeguarding
- Must provide an up‑to‑date DBS or be prepared to allow Axcis to process one.
- Must be suitably qualified and attend a face‑to‑face interview to demonstrate suitability.
- All staff and volunteers are expected to share a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
