Mechanical Design Engineer – Day to day responsibilities Mechanical design using 3D CAD (SolidWorks or Inventor experience) designing innovative designs and new mechanical systems for client products Managing and prioritising multiple projects in an agile environment Producing detailed designs for mechanical systems, machined components and assemblies Carrying out first principles hand calculations and GD&T for loads, forces, torque, fatigue, and material strengths Specifying materials and defining testing requirements , including load testing The Mechanical Design Engineer will be designing mechanical systems with a strong focus on functionality, safety, and ergonomics Supporting designs through manufacture and build
About you You’ll be a confident, technically strong Mechanical Design Engineer who understands where to start on new designs , how forces act through assemblies, and how to validate designs properly.
