About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with class teachers to support students aged 8–18 with SEMH needs. You’ll help deliver a fun, functional curriculum tailored to individual learning needs, often working one‑to‑one or in small groups. Our students have experienced trauma and may display challenging behaviours, so empathy, resilience, and a trauma‑informed approach are key.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience supporting children with SEND/SEMH needs
  • Understanding of behaviour management and trauma‑informed practices
  • Inclusive, empathetic, and solution‑focused mindset
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build strong relationships
  • Basic knowledge of child development, safeguarding, and the National Curriculum
  • Confidence in using ICT to support learning
