Primary SEN Teaching Assistant – Doncaster

Start Date: ImmediatePay: £90-£110 per day (dependent on experience)Agency: Teaching Personnel

Overview

We are recruiting a caring and committed Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a supportive and inclusive primary school in Doncaster. This is a temporary role, with the potential to become permanent.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN (including ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs, and SEMH)
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support strategies
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation and social development
  • Track and report on pupil progress

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting
  • Patient, empathetic and resilient nature
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3 desirable but not essential)
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
