Overview
We are recruiting a caring and committed Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a supportive and inclusive primary school in Doncaster. This is a temporary role, with the potential to become permanent.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN (including ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs, and SEMH)
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support strategies
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and social development
- Track and report on pupil progress
Qualifications
- Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting
- Patient, empathetic and resilient nature
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3 desirable but not essential)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
