Early Years Teacher (Reception – ASD Class)

Location: Barking and Dagenham

Supports pupils aged 4‑11 with Autism. Small class sizes (maximum 6 pupils). Sensory rooms, therapy pool, large outdoor learning spaces, excellent pupil behaviour, strong parent partnerships, tailored learning.

Role Overview

Lead a Reception class of pupils with Autism, delivering engaging sensory‑based learning tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with speech and language development.
  • Facilitate social communication skills.
  • Build relationships.
  • Set and monitor individual learning targets.
  • Implement sensory and play‑based learning activities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified in Early Years Education.
  • Passionate about Early Years.
  • Experience in SEN settings or interest in SEN.
  • Patient, creative, nurturing attitude.
  • Long‑term commitment sought (Barking and Dagenham).
