About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Positive Behaviour Support Team to appoint a PBS Practitioner. The main purpose is to implement the Choice Support PBS strategy, creating capable environments that improve wellbeing and quality of life for the people we support, whilst reducing challenging behaviour and the use of restrictive interventions. All PBS team members are registered with the UK Society of Behavioural Analysists (SBA).

Responsibilities

  • Implement the Choice Support PBS strategy across services.
  • Develop and maintain new and existing behavioural support plans for individuals who may challenge and/or have Autism.
  • Carry out functional assessment and analysis of challenging behaviours.
  • Provide training and support to staff, including preparing to become a PROACT‑SCIPr‑UK® instructor.
  • Collaborate closely with multi‑disciplinary teams and external practitioners.
  • Travel to services in London and South, including Deptford, Maidstone, and other locations as required.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification in ABA (IABA, Tizard Centre, Welsh Centre or equivalent); a Masters level qualification is highly desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviours.
  • Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and training delivery skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, with access to own vehicle.

Hours & Location

Full time – 37.5 hours per week. Predominantly based in London with travel to London services and occasionally to other South locations.
