AWS Solutions Architect

Overview

AWS Solution Architect to lead in helping clients define and architect AWS cloud solutions that enable their cloud adoption journey and beyond. You will play a key role in creating migration patterns, implementing reusable solutions, and ensuring the successful transition to AWS for a variety of complex environments.

Location: Manchester or Leeds – Hybrid & Flexible Working Available

Clearance: Must be eligible for UK Government Security Clearance

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead for cloud migration enablement projects.




• Define and document AWS architectures, including baselines, target states, patterns, and standards.




• Collaborate with development teams to create and reuse migration services and infrastructure-as-code solutions.




• Run architectural reviews to ensure optimal use of AWS services.




• Promote automation and CI/CD integration to streamline deployments.




• Support engineering teams in troubleshooting and optimising migration paths.




• Maintain documentation of deployed systems, processes, and best practices.

What You’ll Bring

• Extensive experience in AWS solution design and cloud migration.




• Strong background in AWS architecture for large-scale, multi-account environments.




• Deep knowledge of AWS security and network services.




• Hands-on experience with DevOps and CI/CD toolchains.




• Understanding of AWS security principles and cyber security goals.




• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence technical decisions.




• Agile methodology experience, including Scrum or SAFe.




• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) or AWS Specialty certifications (e.g., Security, Networking).




• Scaled Agile Framework certifications.




• Experience mentoring engineers and supporting professional development.
