Pharmacy Support Worker – Stores – Peterborough

Contribute to efficient, quality patient care by helping manage, store, and distribute essential pharmacy supplies.

We’re looking for a proactive team player to assist in the receipt, storage and distribution of pharmaceutical products, including IV fluids, to wards and departments within the Trust. Your varied role will involve topping up stock in wards, booking in products, reducing waste and managing telephone requests.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Recognised Pharmacy Assistant (e.g. Dispensing Assistant, Counter Assistant or Pharmacy Stock Management) qualification or willing to undertake
  • Commitment to Continuing Personal Development
  • oAbility to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills though any of the following: oEvidence of using English and Maths in a previous role oDemonstrated communication and numerical skills during interview
  • GCSE Maths, English Grade C or 4 above (or equivalent)

Experience

  • Computer literate (Microsoft office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
  • Experience of working within NHS or other Healthcare environment
  • Experience of working in stores environment
  • Knowledge/understanding of Pharmacy Computer Purchasing System (e.g. Ascribe or CareFlow/WellSky/JAC)
