HGV Class 2 Driver

Job Details

Salary: £39,835.85 per annum. Daily meal allowance £5.00 per day worked. Hours: 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday with 4 a.m. start times and variable finish times. Location: Colchester, CO2 8HT.

Responsibilities

• Drive to planned collection locations and move or empty multiple commercial waste containers.
• Ensure all information is input into the onboard system and all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted daily.
• Perform daily vehicle checks as per the driver/operator handbook.
• Comply with all traffic laws and legislation, including load weight limits.
• Leave the carriageway clean and clean up any spillages.

Qualifications

• Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Up‑to‑date CPC Digi/Tachograph Card.
• Previous experience in waste management (desirable).
• Experience with RORO and Skip vehicles (desirable).
