Salary – £20,980 to £22,362 (pro rata per annum)

Role Overview

We are delighted to recruit an enthusiastic PE Cover Supervisor to join Poole High School. The successful candidate will be motivated and inspirational, with a passion for sport and transforming the life chances of young people. They will teach all subjects across the curriculum, including PE lessons, and may have interest in sport and coaching. Previous holders have used this role as a springboard to teacher training.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise classes for absent teachers, specialising in PE
  • Assist students with work set by the teacher or head of department
  • Provide feedback to the teacher on the behaviour and progress of classes and individuals
  • Carry out daily PE safety checks
  • Work with the PE department to supervise clubs and activities
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in accordance with safeguarding and child protection policies
