Amore Group is looking for residential support workers to join an established children’s home in Widnes. Who are we looking for?
We are seeking enthusiastic, energetic, flexible and caring individuals who are emotionally robust, driven to make a difference to children’s lived experiences, approachable, detail‑oriented, and possess strong communication skills.
They will support the Registered Manager and Home’s Deputy Manager, ensuring children’s safety and compliance with protocols and regulations. Experience in children’s care and knowledge of OFSTED regulations is required, as is empathy, compassion, resilience, and positive parenting skills.
A Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable, though we welcome applicants willing to work towards this qualification.
Shift patterns
2 on and 4 off with 2 sleep shifts included. Hourly pay of £12.75‑£13.25 depending on experience; sleep shifts paid at £50 with opportunities for overtime.

- Has a working knowledge and experience of supporting children & young people in a residential setting.
- Possesses good written and verbal communication skills.
- Can listen effectively to those they support and to colleagues.
- Is open, honest, patient, has a sense of humour, and a positive outlook.
- Can remain calm under pressure when dealing with challenging behaviours.
- Can consistently maintain routines and boundaries.
