Salary: £24,853 – £25,583 (FTE) / £21,657 – £22,293 (pro‑rate). Contract type: Permanent. Working pattern: Full‑time, 36 hours per week, term time only.
Overview
St Mary’s is a residential special school and college for pupils aged 5 to 19 with speech, language, communication needs, learning difficulties and other associated SEND. We are seeking a Residential Care Worker to support pupils within our residential setting.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils/students with special educational needs, providing care and assistance in daily activities.
- Work within a small, dedicated team and demonstrate positive, kind, and caring attitudes.
- Follow shift rota, including evenings and alternate Sundays, set on a 2‑week basis.
- Provide outstanding support to those in our care.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Health & Social Care qualification or equivalent Level 3 qualification.
- Basic knowledge of the care and support needs of pupils/students with special educational needs.
- Commitment to providing outstanding support.
- Background check via DBS and an online check for all shortlisted candidates.
