# Workshop Manager – Critical Power & Power Generation Are you an experienced engineering leader with a background in power generation, critical power, generators or heavy engineering workshops?
We are recruiting for a Workshop Manager to join a major long-term infrastructure and critical power project that is set to run through to 2035.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a busy workshop operation, lead skilled engineering teams, and drive operational excellence across service, repair, overhaul and project delivery activities.
## The Role
You will be responsible for managing workshop operations, engineering teams, productivity, HSE standards, customer delivery and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
The successful candidate will play a key role in:– Driving workshop efficiency and performance– Leading and mentoring engineering teams– Managing service delivery and turnaround times– Improving processes and operational standards– Supporting large-scale critical power projects– Maintaining exceptional HSEQ standards– Building a positive, high-performance culture
## What We’re Looking For
We are keen to speak with candidates who have experience within:– Critical Power– Power Generation– Generators– Heavy Plant– Rotating Equipment– Industrial Engineering– Data Centre Power– Load Banks– Diesel Engines or associated engineering sectors
You will ideally have:– Previous experience managing a workshop or engineering operation– Strong leadership and people management skills– Experience driving operational improvements– Commercial awareness and customer focus– A proactive and hands-on management style– Excellent communication and organisational skills
