Warehouse Team Leader – based inside a prison

Position Details

Pay Rate: £27,496.46 per yearGrade: RCS OContract Type: Permanent (Full-Time), 40 hour working week, Monday to Friday (includes working UK bank holidays)Shift patterns: Monday to Thursday, 08:00-17:00, Friday’s, 08:00-14:30Location: HM Stocken, near Oakham, LE15 7RDPLEASE NOTE: The role is based within a men’s category C prison. You will be required to undergo an enhanced security vetting process if you are to be successful for this position. Refer to Essential Criteria for more information.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a group of up to 80 prisoners, ensuring compliance with all SOPs, Health and Safety, and HMP rules and regulations.
• Ensure operational KPIs are met and exceeded, and reconcile stock levels against delivery and pick of each item.
• Drive and support projects and initiatives for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Three recent years of UK address history (mandatory for enhanced security clearance).
• Right to work in the UK with no limits now or in the future (British or Irish National, EU Settled Status, or Indefinite Leave to Remain). Sponsorship is not offered.
• Experience in a prison or secure environment is an advantage; transferable skills from other work settings are valued.

• Good understanding of supply chain and logistics – full training provided.
• Good at communicating firmly, fairly and clearly.
• Demonstrated people leadership skills.
