We are looking for a Food Retail Facilities and Compliance Officer for a leading East Asian food retailer based in London. The role involves overseeing the facilities team and ensuring a safe, compliant environment for customers and staff across health & safety, food protection, regulatory, contractual and other business processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Facilities team to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, food protection, regulatory, contractual and business processes.
- Monitor legislation changes, write and analyse legislation, and respond accordingly.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with store managers, senior managers and staff.
- Coordinate and negotiate with contractors on compliance matters.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar legal compliance or facilities role.
- H&S trained to the IOSH standard.
- Food Safety Level 3 certification.
- Experience operating within a commercial food environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including clear communication with managers and staff.
- Ability to write and analyse legislation and respond accordingly.
- Intermediate Excel and basic Word skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to liaise with contractors.
- Capability to work unsupervised and take responsibility.
- Remain calm under pressure.
- Detail-oriented and flexible in written skills and time management.
- Good organisational skills.
