Deputy Children’s Home Manager – EBD Service

Role Overview

This role is for a deputy manager in a well‑established EBD children’s home situated in Oadby. It offers the choice of working within a 3‑bed or 4‑bed setting, with a blend of administrative duties, shifts and sleep‑ins.

Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the home.
• Work a balanced rota of administrative duties, shifts and sleep‑ins.
• Help deliver high‑quality care to young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
• Lead shifts, supervise staff and support team development.
• Assist with care planning, safeguarding and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and care standards.
• Promote a safe, structured and nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience within children’s residential care.
• Strong understanding of EBD and safeguarding practices.
• Experience supervising or leading staff teams.
• Level3/4 in Children&Young People (or working towards).
• Confident leadership skills and ability to support operationally.
• Passion for improving outcomes for young people.
