Deputy General Manager, Malmaison
Rate of Pay: Up to £46,000 per year plus Generous Company Benefits, Training & Development

Malmaison is looking for a leader in the making. Someone who will understand that running a successful business isn’t just about exceeding the brand standards or having a super P&L. We want someone who will look after the team and by developing them will deliver the expectation of celebrity service.
You will be 18 months (or less) from running your own hotel and keen to join a brand that will give you the opportunity to shine. Five of our current General Managers have been promoted from the Deputy General Manager position.
As Deputy General Manager in Manchester you will be a real organizer, who loves leading and motivating your team. You will be driving the brand strategy in all elements of the business and helping set Malmaison apart from the competition as a preferred employer and destination to stay, eat and drink.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maximise revenue within the business by looking at the bigger picture, managing the detail through department managers and team.
- Lead from the front to set the example.
- Understand and implement Health & Safety requirements and communicate effectively.
- Drive the brand strategy and maintain Malmaison’s standards.
Qualifications and experience:
- Recent experience (18 months or less) of running your own hotel or similar.
- Previous experience managing large teams.
- Sound knowledge of food and drink in a similar sized property (not a deal breaker).
