Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity within the Department of Estates & Facilities Management for an experienced Head of Lifecycle Management & Minor Works in our Development, Space and Property team. You will play a critical senior leadership post responsible for the strategic management and operational delivery of the University’s infrastructure replacement portfolio, including the £14 million annual Capital Backlog Programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the long‑term asset lifecycle strategy and provide expert technical authority for Building Surveying and M&E issues across the estate.
- Manage complex programmes and lead the delivery of all projects within budget and schedule, to the highest technical standards.
- Ensure full statutory and legislative compliance, including discharging the University’s duties under CDM 2015.
- Govern significant capital and revenue budgets and present high‑level progress and risk reports to Executive and University Governance groups.
- Lead multiple project delivery teams, manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships, and align the minor works programme with the Head of Capital Projects to achieve a unified approach to all campus investment.
