Lead Solutions Architect

Company: Synaxia Group
Apply for the Lead Solutions Architect
Location: Manchester
Job Description:

If you’re ready to shape architecture—not just follow it—this is where your ideas will actually land

What’s in it for you

You’ll step into a role where your architectural decisions don’t sit in slide decks—they get built, scaled, and used. You’ll lead a team, influence senior stakeholders, and define how assessment technology evolves at scale.

This isn’t about maintaining the status quo. It’s about owning the direction.

What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

You’ll lead the Solution Architecture function—setting standards, shaping strategy, and guiding a team of architects to deliver real solutions to complex challenges.

  • Define architectural principles that actually get used across projects
  • Lead and grow a team of Solution Architects (mentoring, not micromanaging)
  • Turn business problems into clear, scalable solution approaches
  • Influence senior stakeholders by translating technical ideas into business value
  • Ensure alignment across enterprise architecture, data, and security
  • Drive innovation using modern, cloud-native approaches

Which means: you won’t just design solutions—you’ll shape how the entire organisation thinks about architecture.

Where you’ll be doing it

You’ll be part of a team shaping the future of assessment delivery—working closely with product, technical, and business stakeholders to influence real transformation initiatives.

This is a role where architecture has a seat at the table—not an afterthought.

What you’ll need

You don’t need to be the deepest technical specialist in every area—but you do need to confidently lead decisions.

  • Strong background in solution architecture across complex environments
  • Experience leading or mentoring architects
  • Solid understanding of cloud-native architecture and integration patterns
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on business outcomes
  • Experience working in agile, product-led environments

A computing degree (or equivalent experience) helps—but your ability to think, influence, and lead matters more.

What you’ll get (beyond the obvious)

  • Real influence over architectural direction—not just delivery
  • The chance to build and shape a high-performing architecture team
  • Exposure to enterprise-level decision-making and strategy
  • The opportunity to work on meaningful, large-scale transformation

Which means: you’ll grow your leadership impact, not just your technical skillset.

What next

You don’t need a polished CV to start the conversation.

Send over what you have, or simply reach out for an informal chat to find out more.
