A well-established chemical manufacturing business is seeking an electrically biased Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team in Tameside. The Role
Working on a rotating 3-shift pattern (06:00-14:00, 07:00-15:00, 14:00-22:00), you will be responsible for maintaining plant reliability through a combination of preventative and reactive maintenance. You’ll play a key role in ensuring production uptime while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical and mechanical maintenance across all plant machineryPlanned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown responseFault-finding on electrical and mechanical systemsIdentifying and implementing continuous improvements to enhance performance and reliabilityEnsuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and within required timeframesSupporting production teams to minimise downtimeMaintaining accurate maintenance recordsProviding guidance and mentorship to on-site apprentices
Requirements
Electrically biased Multiskilled Maintenance EngineerRecognised engineering qualification (apprentice trained preferred)Strong electrical fault-finding skills, supported by mechanical knowledgeExperience within a manufacturing or process environment (chemical advantageous)Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environmentHigh attention to detail and commitment to quality standardsFlexible and adaptable approach to workload
