However, candidates based within the M60 would be favourable due to the client base.JOB TYPE: Full-Time, PermanentJOB OVERVIEWThe company continues to expand its Field Service Team, creating an exciting opportunity for a CompEx Electrical Inspector / Electrician to join a forward-thinking organisation delivering specialist EC&I and engineering solutions to customers across multiple process industries.As a CompEx Electrical Inspector / Electrician you will conduct hazardous area inspections, complete ATEX assessments, undertake electrical installation work, fault finding and electrical rectifications, and support instrumentation activities across aerospace, food, beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical and oil & gas sectors. You will work with containment systems, cable installations, electrical wiring diagrams and area classification reports to ensure compliance and operational safety.The CompEx Electrical Inspector / Electrician will play an important role in delivering inspection services in accordance with IEC / BS EN 60079 standards while helping improve reliability, minimise downtime and maintain safe customer operations across the UK and EU.APPLY TODAYReady to make your next career move? Apply Now for our Recruitment Team to review.DUTIESYour duties as the CompEx Electrical Inspector / Electrician include:ATEX Inspections: conduct detailed ATEX and CompEx inspections to IEC / BS EN 60079-17 standardsElectrical Inspection: identify non-compliances and ensure hazardous area equipment meets required standardsElectrical Rectifications: complete high-quality electrical repairs and corrective work to minimise downtimeInspection Reporting: produce accurate reports and communicate findings and risks clearlyDocumentation Preparation: create comprehensive handover documentation following site inspectionsContainment Installation: install containment and cable systems to a high standardElectrical Installation: undertake electrical installation work safely and efficientlyTechnical Interpretation: work from electrical wiring diagrams and area classification reportsInstrumentation Support: support instrumentation installation and shutdown projects when requiredProject Delivery: manage work schedules effectively and deliver work within agreed timescalesContinuous Improvement: identify recurring issues and contribute to improved inspection processesClient Relationships: collaborate with customers and internal teams to improve compliance and safety outcomesCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSESSENTIALCurrent CompEx EX0104 qualificationC&G 2391, 2391-52, or 2394 and 2395 qualificationJIB Gold Card or higher with recognised apprenticeship or equivalent Electrician qualificationStrong understanding of BS EN 60079-14 and BS EN 60079-17Proven experience conducting ATEX inspections and producing high-quality reportsExperience with glanding, terminating, containment installation and cable systemsProficient in interpreting electrical wiring diagrams and area classification reportsCompetent using Microsoft Excel, SharePoint and Microsoft 365Willing to travel throughout the UK and EU including overnight staysFull UK driving licence requiredAble to develop effective customer relationships and communicate clearlyDESIRABLECompEx EX0506 qualificationValid CCSNG, JIB or equivalent accreditationPrevious experience within a service or field-based engineering environmentBENEFITSA base salary of up to £55k dependent on qualifications and experienceFully funded car and techFuel card, including allowances for breakfast, lunch and dinner when working away zero out of pocket expenses here!Paid overnight allowance, every night you spend working awayEmployee TrainingCompany EventsModern open plan officeFree Gym membership within walking distance to HQCompany pension package to secure your futureTotal holiday package of 31 daysEmployer-sponsored office attireEmployer funded Cash plan.
