Health & Safety Regulatory Solicitor – Manchester – Hybrid – Up to £50,000
A well‑established and highly regarded law firm is seeking a Health & Safety Regulatory Solicitor to join its expanding Manchester team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist Crime & Regulatory department handling complex Health & Safety investigations and inquest proceedings for a diverse client base.
As a Health & Safety Regulatory Solicitor in the Manchester team, you’ll manage a varied caseload of corporate regulatory matters, work closely with senior colleagues, and gain exposure to high‑profile and technically challenging cases while developing your expertise in a supportive environment.
The Role
• Managing a caseload of Health & Safety investigations and inquest matters
• Working closely with a senior figure on complex and high‑profile cases
• Attending hearings, site visits and client meetings
• Drafting high‑quality documentation, reports and regulatory correspondence
• Advising clients on regulatory obligations, enforcement action and case strategy
• Handling matters with autonomy while receiving ongoing support
• Engaging directly with clients and external stakeholders
• Contributing to the continued growth of the Regulatory team
The Candidate
• Qualified Solicitor with Health & Safety and/or inquest experience
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines
• Confident handling a varied caseload with minimal supervision
• Excellent attention to detail and high‑quality drafting skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proactive, team‑focused and committed to high standards of client care
• Comfortable engaging with clients, experts and regulatory bodies
