Your new role
As Assembly Supervisor, you will take responsibility for overseeing day-to-day assembly operations, ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You will lead a team of operatives while driving performance and maintaining strong operational responsibilities:
Supervising daily assembly operations to meet production schedulesLeading, motivating and supporting assembly teamsEnsuring products are assembled in line with specifications and quality standardsMonitoring workflow, productivity and labour utilisationConducting quality checks and maintaining assembly standardsPromoting and enforcing health & safety across the departmentDelivering toolbox talks and supporting training initiativesIdentifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunitiesMaintaining accurate production reporting and documentation
What you’ll need to succeed
Previous supervisory experience within manufacturing or assemblyStrong understanding of production processes and workflow managementAbility to interpret engineering drawings and specificationsStrong communication and organisational skillsHigh attention to detail with a focus on quality and safetyAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Desirable:
Experience in engineering or heavy manufacturingKnowledge of lean manufacturing principles
