We are currently seeking a skilled and hands-on Extrusion Tooling Setter to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an engineering mindset who enjoys practical, detail-focused work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Find out more about this role by reading the information below, then apply to be considered.The RoleAs an Extrusion Tooling Setter, you will be responsible for preparing, maintaining, and setting extrusion tooling to ensure the efficient and high-quality production of extruded profiles. You will play a key role in maximising tooling performance, minimising downtime, and supporting production operations.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and remove tooling systems on extrusion lines safely and accuratelySupport production teams in resolving tooling-related issuesClean and maintain tooling during and after production runs to ensure efficiencyDismantle, inspect and reassemble extrusion tools including dies and calibration equipmentMeasure and document tooling dimensions to tight tolerances (0.01mm) using precision instrumentsCarry out minor repairs and rectification of tooling damageMaintain accurate inspection and maintenance recordsEnsure tooling is assembled correctly using appropriate torque settings and fixingsTooling & Maintenance DutiesClean, polish and maintain dies to ensure optimal flow and performanceSteam clean and maintain calibration systems and vacuum chambersCheck water flow systems and remove any blockages or debrisReplace worn or damaged components such as seals, fittings and fastenersMaintain cleaning equipment including sonic tanks and steam cleanersGeneral DutiesMaintain a safe, clean and organised work environment (5S standards)Store and manage tooling correctly with proper identificationCarry out routine cleaning of tanks and equipment between runsMonitor stock levels of parts and consumables, reporting shortagesUse a variety of hand tools, power tools, and workshop machineryAbout YouWe are looking for someone who is practical, detail-oriented, and passionate about engineering.Ideal candidates will have:A basic engineering qualification (NVQ, Diploma, Apprenticeship or similar)Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or toolroom environment (desirable)Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsExperience using measuring equipment and working to tight tolerancesA proactive approach with a keen eye for detailPractical hobbies such as DIY, mechanics, or model making are also highly valued, as they demonstrate your passion for hands-on work.Why Join Us?Competitive SalaryPension31 days holiday, increasing with service, plus have your birthday offPaid time off annually to volunteerComprehensive health & well-being benefits including cycle to work scheme, heavily discounted gym memberships and free access to mental health first aidersHeavily discounted group discount scheme on all productsGroup Perks and freebies on days out, cinema, theatre, eating in and out, mobiles phones, food shopping and most major high street retailersOpportunity to work with a forward-thinking and supportive team.Career development and continuous learning opportunities.Our Company is committed to monitoring & aligning its Policies with up-to-date Government guidance on reducing the spread of respiratory infections in the workplace.
