We are now recruiting for a Manufacturing Prepper & Cleaner.

The main requirements of your role will be:

• Clean, visually inspect, package and label piece parts, sub-assemblies, final assemblies and chambers to U.H.V. standards as detailed in the VACGEN cleaning specifications.
• Carry out leak checks on chambers.
• Bead blasting.
• Identify and report any faults found.
• Meet deadlines for internal and external customers.
• Bead blasting to remove surface deposits to achieve high quality finished parts.
• To perform other duties from time to time, as may be required by the Company.
• Ensure tidiness and physical appearance of the work place is maintained.
• Ensure adherence to HS&E polices.

Essential Skills and Experience

The essential skills/experience required for this role are:

• Understand UHV cleaning standards.
• Understand working with hazardous chemicals and the relevant safety issues.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions.
• Cleaning to U.H.V. standards using abrasive materials and chemicals.
• Deadline driven without compromising quality.
• Relevant health and safety training.
• Must understand requirements of On Time Delivery both internally and externally.
• Experience of Bead Blasting would be an advantage.

Desirable Skills and Experience

The skills and experience we would like the employee in this role to have are:

• Knowledge or experience of welding and fabrication processes would be beneficial.
• Previous experience of working in the vacuum industry would be advantageous.
• Qualified to BTech/HNC/HND level in a Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing discipline.
