Overview

Job Title: Waste Operative

Rate of Pay: £13.50 per hour

Position Type: Permanent

Type of Employment: Full Time

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Hull Royal Infirmary, Craven Building, Anlaby Road, Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England, HU3 2JZ

Responsibilities

  • Deliver routine planned and periodic waste collections for a Mitie customer, ensuring the contract service delivery is of a high standard and meets all SLA agreements whilst adhering to the waste collection schedules.
  • Build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivering excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.
  • Have knowledge and understanding of the designated waste areas, including the agreed work specification and time allocated to facilities, and have knowledge of all equipment, materials and approved chemicals used by Mitie. Adhere to all Mitie Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures and participate in all required training to deliver the role.
  • Work to a schedule as part of a team and, where appropriate, on own initiative. Be reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude.
  • The ideal candidate would have waste experience; however training can be provided. Strive for continuous improvements in service delivery and be self-driven and determined.
