Main duties of the job

As an Agincare maintenance person, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the safety and upkeep of our care home facilities. This includes performing repairs in areas such as painting, decorating, and grounds maintenance. If repairs cannot be completed internally, you’ll work with our head office to contract external services. Safety is paramount, making sure our residents are safe and that work is performed according to regulations. This role requires you to work 36 hours per week, including alternate weekends. Job responsibilities

  • Ensure the maintenance of the building and grounds in line with health and safety requirements.
  • Assess and undertake repairs including painting and decorating, grounds maintenance, plastering, and repairing doors and windows.
  • When internal repair is not possible, liaise with our head office to refer the repair to a contractor.
  • Maintain safety by ensuring the care home is safe for all residents.
  • Ensure that work is completed and recorded in line with legislative and regulatory requirements.

Person Specification & Qualifications

  • Access to own vehicle.
  • Experience working in maintenance positions.
  • Minimum of 12 months right to work.
  • Willingness to work 36 hours per week, including alternate weekends.
