Apply for the Local Delivery Driver – CDL A
Location: Wales
Job Description:

PBNA $34.00 / hour

Position delivers products to stores on an established route or via dynamic dispatch to customers such as convenience stores, gas stations, small supermarkets, and drug stores, averaging 15–20 stops per day. The driver unloads and brings products into the store, manages rotating and stocking on shelves, displays, vending equipment, and coolers, builds displays, sets up promotional materials, generates invoices, and settles daily cash and charges. Frequent interaction with store management is required.

This is a labor‑intensive role involving lifting, loading, and pushing/pulling 20–45‑pound cases repeatedly, reaching, squatting, and bending while merchandising in various weather conditions. At peak times, long work hours may be necessary.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Deliver products, serve customers, and execute promotions to multiple stores each day.
  • Operate trucks requiring an appropriate CDL license for basic functions (e.g., driving forwards, backwards, and maneuvering in tight spaces).
  • Service all scheduled customers by the end of the daily shift.
  • Merchandise and rotate accounts to local standards: fill shelves, build displays, maintain attractiveness, rotate products, clean shelves, refill out‑of‑stocks, remove outdated items, and return shells.
  • Push and pull pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment to move products to and from the truck.
  • Build positive working relationships with primary contacts at each account.
  • Comply with operating procedures such as scan‑in/scan‑out and designated routes.
  • Serve customers through effective communication, rapport building, and attentiveness to needs.
  • Follow DOT regulations.
  • Maintain regular, reliable, predictable attendance.

Basic Qualifications

  • 21 years or older.
  • Pass required drug test and physical capabilities test (if applicable).
  • Valid U.S. CDL with non‑excepted interstate status (if applicable). In California, both non‑excepted intrastate and interstate status are accepted except in Stockton, where only interstate status is accepted.
  • Pass DOT physical and DOT Road Test.
  • Follow DOT regulations.

Helpful Experience

  • Operating trucks with a valid U.S. CDL license for basic driving functions.
  • Delivering products directly to stores and working as part of an account team.
  • Merchandising products: filling shelves, building displays, rotating inventory, cleaning, and replacing out‑of‑stocks.
  • Operating handheld computers for data entry, transaction input, and printing.
  • Operating equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and related machinery.
  • Working in a warehouse environment including product staging and forklift operations.

Because the material duties involve regular field work, including visiting customer locations and interfacing with the public, the company will verify criminal history and conduct background checks in accordance with applicable laws. The conditional offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening. Qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered in compliance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance, the California Fair Chance Act, and related statutes.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.
