Hours: 37 hours per week (3 weekly shift rotation: day shift, back shift and night shift)

Summary
We are looking for a skilled Production Operative (Press Brake) to work within a highly skilled dynamic environment in the precision fabrication and multi-plate processing industry. The Press Brake Operative will use CNC programmes and press tooling to bend steel to specific angles and customer specifications.

Job role
- Following part set up sheets and customer work schedules.
- Operating machines to bend steel to specific angles using press tooling for heavy duty parts.
- Using hand tools such as pin grinders/ angle grinders.
- Completion of daily operation, TPM (total preventive/ production maintenance) and pre-operation check sheets.
- Completing tasks by use of engineering drawings.
- Inspect quality of parts to maintain high standards and completion of first off checks.
- Inspect all equipment to ensure it’s in a safe working condition.
- Carry out adjustments using CNC programmes.
- Other adhoc duties as requested by your line manager. However, you will be given duties in respect of your abilities, skill‑set and organisational structure. The Company will not ask you to complete tasks that are outside the scope of your capabilities.
Qualifications and experience
- Previous experience using 300 – 400 tonne press machines would be beneficial but not essential.
- Previous experience using bend templates and an understanding of bend radius’ would be beneficial but not essential.
- Previous experience working within the manufacturing sector is beneficial but not essential.
- Previous experience using engineering drawings would be beneficial but not essential.
- You are also given comprehensive training once you commence employment.
