Grounds Maintenance Operative

We are looking for a reliable Grounds Maintenance Operative to support our existing team on an occasional weekend basis. Most work will be based on school playing fields and education sites across Manchester and the North West.

This role is ideal for someone with practical grounds maintenance experience who wants flexible weekend work.

Key duties include

• Grass cutting and strimming
• Weed and plant identification
• Weeding and planting
• Pruning and general site tidiness
• Working safely on school fields and public sites

What we are looking for

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping
• Good knowledge of basic horticultural tasks
• A valid driving licence
• Ability to make your own way to and from our office near Wythenshawe Hospital when required
• A reliable and professional approach when working on school sites

Important

• This role requires an enhanced DBS check. Employment is subject to a satisfactory DBS certificate due to the nature of the work on school grounds.

Contract details

• Zero hour contract
• Weekend work
• Pay £14-16 per hour
• Paid every month

Work is mainly across Manchester and the wider North West.
