Key Responsibilities

The Ordinary Seaman is responsible to the Bosun/Supervising Officer for:

• Performing lookout/helmsman duties on bridge watches
• Carrying out maintenance work and other operational tasks as required
• Assisting in mooring operations as required
• Adopting safe working practices
• Performing Safety & Security rounds as instructed by the Bosun/Supervising Officer
• Responsible to the Deck Officers for maintaining a safe deck watch and ensuring the vessel remains securely moored.
• Assisting in cargo operations (inc. tank cleaning, sweeping) as required by the Chief Officer and or Officer on Watch
• Undertaking any other tasks, duties as instructed by the Bosun/supervising Officer
