Job Description:

Dangle Academy is a purpose-built industrial training facility based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, specialising in work at height, rescue, rope access and safety training for high-risk industries.

The academy delivers practical, industry-focused training across GWO, IRATA, EUSR and workplace health and safety, supporting learners from those entering the industry through to experienced technicians completing refresher training, recertification or additional skills development.

The role may suit an experienced GWO instructor, or someone with strong wind industry, work at height, rescue, rope access or safety training experience who is looking to develop further within GWO training delivery.

Strong communication, coaching and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support learners with different levels of experience.

A strong understanding of safe systems of work, practical skills coaching and delegate supervision.

Good organisational and documentation skills, including the ability to follow lesson plans, maintain records and work within established procedures.

Physical fitness suitable for demonstrating practical work at height, rescue and simulated industrial training exercises.

Availability to support ad-hoc training delivery at our Belfast training centre.

Relevant qualifications in first aid, manual handling, work at height, rescue, rope access or GWO modules would be beneficial.

All instructor development and delivery would be aligned with GWO requirements, including the need to evidence instructional background, module‑specific competence and assessment before independent delivery.
