SEN Teacher

Overview

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Hackney seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team. You will teach small groups of KS3-4 pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, some with additional learning difficulties.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons in core subjects tailored to individual needs
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCO and behaviour specialists
• Develop strategies to support pupils’ wellbeing and academic progress

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in SEN, PRU or mainstream with SEMH exposure
• Resilience, strong behaviour management and commitment to inclusion
