Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker

Salary: £30,000 – £34,000 per annum pro rata

Hours: 27 Hours per Week

Location: Bromsgrove

Team: Bromsgrove Short Breaks

Contract Type: Permanent Contract

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker who has the knowledge and skills in working with children and young people. Your strong teamwork and communication skills will be used to support our established residential short break service. This role provides an opportunity to be a positive energy in a child’s life and help young people achieve their goals.

You will work directly with young people, building effective relationships with their families and other professionals. You will ensure opportunities for young people to access a range of activities and provide comprehensive support while maintaining a high standard of care.

You will help the Manager and Assistant Manager in the day‑to‑day operations of the home, ensuring it runs smoothly and meets all safeguarding and regulatory standards. You will support the administration, oversight, and monitoring of the team’s work and performance, including regular individual supervision.

You will be committed to learning and professional development and will be flexible to work shifts, evenings, weekends, and sleep‑ins (additional payment).

Qualifications

  • Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England) or an equivalent qualification. Opportunity to complete the Level 4 Apprenticeship Children, Young People and Families Practitioner within two years of commencing employment if appropriate.
