Mobile Cleaner / Housekeeper
We have an excellent opportunity for a reliable, organised Mobile Cleaner/Housekeeper to support accommodation properties and office environments across multiple sites in the West Midlands. Ideal candidates will have experience in cleaning, housekeeping, facilities or customer service.
Salary: £12.71 per hour plus benefits
Location: Travel required across Sandwell, Dudley, Walsall and Birmingham
Job type: Part‑time, permanent
Working hours: 22.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (negotiable)
Full driving licence with access to own vehicle and willingness to travel across sites is essential.
Job Overview
Support the cleanliness and presentation of accommodation properties and office locations across the West Midlands. Maintain high standards of hygiene, housekeeping and health and safety across communal areas, offices and temporary accommodation.
Duties
- Vacuuming, dusting and mopping reception areas, meeting rooms and shared spaces in offices and communal areas.
- Preparing void properties, kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms for re‑letting.
- Ensuring accommodation and office environments remain clean, safe and presentable.
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately across all locations.
- Vacuuming carpets, spot‑cleaning spillages and mopping hard floors.
- Dusting and maintaining internal glass, doors and surfaces.
- Replenishing toiletries and cleaning supplies where required.
- Following COSHH guidance and training when using cleaning materials and machinery.
- Highlighting defects or safety concerns to the relevant team.
- Visiting accommodation properties and office locations as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer‑focused environment.
- Experience with cleaning duties within accommodation, office or communal settings (desirable).
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures relating to cleaning materials and equipment.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Willingness to undertake training and follow instructions.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality and diversity.
- Full driving licence with access to a vehicle and willingness to travel across sites.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies. The post holder must be female.
