Role title: Client Accounts Apprentice

Salary: £22,500 – £24,000 DOE + £1,000 Sign on Bonus

About the team
The function of the role is to assist in the property data management and control of finances of client monies held on behalf of investors in order to manage a property portfolio. The team consists of over 40 employees split across five teams based in Manchester and Leeds, with 2 directors and 5 team leaders. It is responsible for day‑to‑day client accounting and has a wealth of combined knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Maintain housekeeping of property and lease data and financial data on databases.
- Assist the client accountants in reporting to clients (standard reports plus additional as required).
- Ensure accurate reconciliation of client reports (i.e. VAT, client statement etc).
- Site income reconciliations.
- Prepare instructions for the Treasury department (following relevant approvals) for the following: demand recharges of costs incurred from tenants, transfer of rent monies to client, amendments to client accounts, payment of client property related transactions.
- General maintenance of client funds (e.g. tenant refunds).
- Maintain professional working relationships with internal and external clients and ensure that good client service is delivered.
- Other miscellaneous administration tasks as required.
- Ad‑hoc tasks instructed by Client Accounts Team Leader and Head of Property Finance UK.

Training
Level 2 AAT or Level 3 AAT apprenticeship depending on prior experience. On‑the‑job training is provided to ensure all required knowledge and experience is obtained throughout the apprenticeship to qualify successfully. Savills provides the full suite of training programmes including mandatory health and safety and office training, as well as specific training relevant to your role. Continuing professional development (CPD) is maintained to keep staff current with legislative and business needs.

Working Week
Five full days in the office, working hours 9:00am to 5:30pm. One of these days each week will be dedicated to apprenticeship studies while in the office.
Entry requirements
GCSE English and Maths at Level 4 (Grade C) or above is a mandatory requirement. Applicants must be eligible to live, work and remain in the UK, and must reside within one hour’s commute of the Manchester office.
