New Directions are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated ECT to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Denton. This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to start their career in a nurturing school environment that values professional growth and pupil success. This role is to start in September 2026, continuing for the full academic year with the view to then move onto a school contract. The year group will be confirmed based on the successful candidate’s experience and the needs of the school.

The Role:
- Planning and delivering creative, engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
- Creating a safe, positive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Encouraging pupils’ academic, social, and emotional progress
- Managing behaviour effectively in line with school expectations
- Differentiating learning activities to meet the needs of all pupils
- Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, providing feedback where appropriate
- Working closely with teaching assistants and colleagues to support learning
- Taking part in school events and contributing to the wider school community
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status, or be on track to achieve QTS before September
- Recent experience within a primary school through placements or teaching practice
- Good behaviour management and strong communication skills
- A positive, enthusiastic, and reflective attitude
- The ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff
- A solid understanding of safeguarding procedures and the primary curriculum
- A genuine commitment to helping children thrive and reach their potential
