Job Overview

Tesco Shift Lead. Pay starts at €15.59 per hour, rising to €16.86 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. Guaranteed minimum of 16 hours per week, with options for 12‑hour shifts. The role offers stability, flexibility and a path to grow your career.

Availability

Working hours must be scheduled within the following windows:

• Sunday 07:00‑22:00
• Monday 07:00‑22:00
• Thursday 07:00‑22:00
• Friday 07:00‑22:00
• Saturday 07:00‑22:00

Shifts will be communicated with at least three weeks’ notice.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to deliver a great customer experience in store.
• Serve as the point of contact for day‑to‑day operational queries across all areas of the store.
• Build positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.
• Confidently lead the store in the Manager’s absence.
• Make balanced, flexible decisions and adapt well to change.
• Coach colleagues, give feedback and role model excellent service.
• Stay curious and seek opportunities to serve customers, communities and the planet better each day.

Qualifications

• Be over 18 years old.
• Experience as a team lead or manager in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Be a strong role model with a passion for delivering great service and meeting every customer’s needs.
• Build and maintain inclusive, supportive team relationships.
• Communicate clearly, using multiple methods to keep the team well informed.
• Demonstrate natural leadership, motivating and inspiring the team to outstanding results.
