Job Description
As a Content Quality Control Operator, you will assess Sky’s linear and on-demand content before release across platforms including Sky Glass, Sky Q and NOW, ensuring video and audio quality meet the high standards our customers expect. You will review fast‑turnaround Premier League highlights and major movie premieres. You will assess SD, HD, SDR and HDR picture formats, alongside Atmos, 5.1 and stereo audio mixes, and ensure content is free from defects. Additionally you will enrich content metadata, including timecode markers such as the start of end credits.
Responsibilities
- Validate the output of automated quality‑checking tools using spot checks and full assessments.
- Accurately record assessment data to support clear reporting and continuous service improvement.
- Identify marker points in content to support features such as skipping opening titles and end credits.
- Work within tight deadlines, prioritise workloads around release dates and times.
- Investigate errors quickly, identify root causes and recommend solutions.
- Manage queries from internal and external clients to ensure quality standards are met.

How you’ll work
Hybrid working: 2 days in the office per week. 77‑hour fortnightly shift pattern, mixing early (07:00–19:00) and late (10:00–22:00) shifts, with a full week of night shifts on a rotational basis approximately every 2–3 months.
