Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding teams in Burnley, Pendle and Accrington. The role involves working within a multi‑agency team delivering child protection, child in need and domestic abuse interventions, using the family safeguarding model and a motivational interviewing approach.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist child protection and child in need services to children and families.
  • Work with domestic abuse, mental health and child and family practitioners to deliver coordinated interventions.
  • Maintain manageable caseloads, ensuring statutory and agency requirements are met.
  • Participate in regular training and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience as a social worker, preferably in children’s services.
  • Evidence of working within multi‑agency, multidisciplinary contexts.
