Salary: GBP 14.8 – 15.8 per hour.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Steel Fixer Apprentice to join a major construction project based in Woolwich, London. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to begin or develop a career within the construction industry while gaining hands‑on experience on active construction projects. The successful candidate will support steel fixing and reinforcement activities while working alongside experienced site professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with fabricating and installing steel reinforcement structures including rebar, mesh, and cages
• Cut, bend, and shape steel bars using manual and automated tools
• Support installation of steel reinforcement within concrete forms
• Ensure reinforcement is correctly positioned, aligned, and secured
• Work collaboratively with carpenters, concrete workers, and site teams
• Follow construction drawings and site specifications
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Follow all site health & safety procedures and regulations

Skills & Requirements

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Interest in construction and steel fixing
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work outdoors and in physically demanding environments
• Reliable, punctual, and organised
• CSCS Card required
• CIS Card required
• Previous construction experience is beneficial but not essential
