Responsibilities
About the Role
The Group Risk Management function develops and implements frameworks for managing risk across the different business lines, providing risk management expertise, reporting and oversight as part of the second line of defence.
- Develop and improve analytical and reporting tools in line with regulatory and business needs for Credit, Liquidity and Market Risk.
- Produce reliable, consistent and concise reporting on credit and liquidity risk factors for risk managers and senior business management.
- Identify and escalate potential issues to risk managers and business owners.
- Provide risk updates to groups within the first and second lines in a variety of risk governance forums including Risk, ALCO and Credit Committees.
- Compile and investigate Key Risks and Early Warning Indicators.
- Provide quantitative and qualitative support to the design, development, implementation and communication of new and existing enterprise‑wide risk and control initiatives.
Qualifications
About You
- You will have a degree or qualification in a numerical discipline or equivalent experience.
- Must be highly numerate and have a logical, analytical and thorough approach.
- Working experience with Microsoft Excel required; experience with Microsoft Access is a plus.
- Knowledge of SQL and Visual Basic is desirable.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Ability to keep calm and prioritize work under pressure.
- Interested in modelling the impacts from global regulatory developments.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Adaptable team player with a proactive approach to problem resolution.
