Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Pastoral Support Officer to work in a mainstream secondary school in Daventry, starting as soon as possible.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong behaviour management skills and a genuine interest in student wellbeing, attendance, and pastoral care.

The Role:

As a Pastoral Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting students both academically and emotionally, helping to create a positive and structured learning environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting students with behaviour and attendance across the schoolWorking closely with pupils to promote positive choices and engagementLiaising with parents/carers, teachers, and senior leadership team (SLT)Monitoring attendance and following up on absencesProviding 1:1 and small group pastoral supportAssisting with behaviour interventions and reintegration strategiesContributing to a safe and supportive school environment

The Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with young people (school, care, youth work, or similar)Strong behaviour management and communication skillsConfident liaising with parents and external stakeholdersCalm, resilient, and adaptable approachA genuine passion for supporting student wellbeing and development
