Job Title: Casual After School Activity LeaderLocation: Larmenier and Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, 41A Brook Green, Hammersmith, London, W6 7BLOperating Hours: Monday to Friday – 3:15 pm – 6:00 pmPay: Up to £12.21 per hourContracts Available: Casual contract

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation, such as multi‑sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play, and more, ensuring they are age‑appropriate.
  • Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies, including signing in and out processes, keeping all relevant documentation, and maintaining high standards of hygiene.
  • Provide refreshments for the children.
  • Create an inclusive and fun atmosphere for the children in our care, from picking them up from school to safely delivering them back to their parents or caregivers.
  • Ensure all activities are age and skill‑appropriate while prioritizing safety, including the proper use of equipment and space.
  • Set up and pack away play spaces, moving furniture and play equipment as needed.
  • Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies, keeping all relevant documentation, including accident and incident forms, up to date and completed as needed.
  • Ensure proper sign‑in and sign‑out processes and procedures are followed for all children in our care.
  • Communicate professionally and authentically with team members, parents, children, and schools.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks for all equipment and kit.
  • Take the lead in championing health and safety, providing first aid where necessary.
  • Keep all information and documents related to the children in our care confidential and secure.
  • Inspire our team members and the children in our care to have fun, be active, and lead an active lifestyle.

This role requires compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education policy and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. You must provide two references, one from your most recent employer and the other from a childcare setting (if applicable).
