Multi-Skilled Operative

Widnes, WA8

£14.40 per hour

Monday – Friday – 6:00am – 4:00pm

Overtime: 45 hours paid at 1.25x, Saturday: 1.5x & Sunday: 2x

We are currently recruiting a Multi-Skilled Operative to join a busy waste management operation in Widnes (WA8). This is a hands‑on role suited to someone experienced in mobile plant and site operations within a waste or recycling environment

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a Loading Shovel and 360 Excavator with rehandler attachment
• Loading, moving, and processing waste materials safely and efficiently
• Supporting general site operations as required
• Carrying out basic machine checks and reporting defects
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping on site

Requirements

• Valid and proven experience operating:
• Loading Shovel
• 360 Excavator with rehandler attachment
• Experience working within a waste or recycling environment (preferred)
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow site procedures
• Strong awareness of health & safety practices
• Reliable, flexible, and hardworking attitude
