TXM Recruit is working in partnership with a high-profile railway client. They are expanding their projects and are looking for multiple Rolling Stock Technicians to join their team located in the East Midlands on a contract basis. This role pays £19 per hour (circa £40,000 per annum).
Key Accountabilities
- Servicing, maintenance, repair and overhaul of traction and rolling stock components and plant equipment inspection
- Ensuring that as part of a team, your own and your team’s work targets are met
- Carry out all work to agreed standards and ensure all work undertaken is recorded and “signed off” on the prescribed documentation
- Support and give guidance to all members of the team
- Fault finding on rolling stock as directed by Team Leader
Specific Experience
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 standard in a relevant mechanical/electrical (or dual-skilled) engineering or maintenance discipline (e.g. Traction and Rolling Stock) or have completed a recognised apprenticeship
- Practical experience of mechanical and electrical discipline desired
- Knowledge of ISO 9002 and ISO 14001, IMS and Safety regulations
- Competent in Depot Protection System
